The Bell Inn

The Bell Inn was one of the three inns pretty well side by side along the High Street of Rickmansworth. We've had a small display of it for years, but we've now pulled together a new one.

What we like most are the small items that came out from under the floor boards when it was demolished. Most, we think are 19th century, but some are earlier. They help tell the story - what was it like to live and work round here?

So come and see more of the story of The Bell Inn. It closed as a pub in 1912. but remained prominent as an estate agent's offices until 1964. Now, you can only see it in the museum!
